map): Situated in 1.500m above sea level, Trevelez ist he highest village in Andalucia and at the same time one of the highest all over Europe only being surpassed in altitude by a few other small villages.
Trevélez is part of the area called the "Alpujarra Granadina". It is situated 100km from the
capitol Granada in middle of the
natural park of Sierra Nevada.
From Trevelez it is not far to get to the Mulhacén (the highest peak in Spain), the Chorrillo, the Tajo Pañabon and the Piedra Ventana.
