Plan of events and other happenings

The winter season is the time when plenty of sporting events (skiing in snowboarding mostly) take place in the Sierra Nevada.

1977  the alpine skiing championships for men and women took place for the first time in the Sierra Nevada.

1986 was the first time when the "Ardilla Trophy" was held (an international championship for children in alpine skiing).

1996 the Alpine Ski World Championships were held in the Sierra Nevada.

1999 the finals of the Skiing World Cup for men and women took place in Pradollano again.
