Although Pradollano is the "Capitol" of the Sierra Nevada, there are many other charming little villages worth visiting in the Sierra Nevada. We present you the most important ones here:

Güejar Sierra

Güejar Sierra is situated on the way up to the ski station Pradollano, about 15km before the top mountain village Sol y Nieve. Güejar Sierra can be an excellent option if accommodations in
Pradollano are fully booked out. Due to the longer distance to the lifts it is more economical, too.

Nigüelas

The village Nigüelas (Lecrin valley) can be found on the western side of the Sierra Nevada below the peak of the mountain El Zahor, along the shore of the river Torrente. It is a small village with some historical sites and excellents views over its surroundings. A good place for those who want to go on hiking tours in the Sierra Nevada.

Capileira

Capileira is in the southern part of the Sierra Nevada and it's also called the heart of the Alpujarra Granadina. You will find an exceptional natural environment inviting to do activities like hiking, bicycle or mountainbike tours or horse riding trips.

Bubión

Bubión befindet sich ebenfalls in der Alpujarra Granadina, sur 10km von Capileira entfernt. Bubion is a good point for a base camp to visit the nature of the natural park in the Sierra Nevada.
