Skiing forecast & weather conditions for Sierra Nevada

An overview of the weather conditions & climate in Sierra Nevada

Before going to the Sierra Nevada it makes sense to check the weather forecasts for the Sierra Nevada. From late November until the beginning of May there should be snow in the Sierra Nevada. The safest months to find good snow conditions are January until April.

Even if there may be some weeks without natural snow falls, the ski station of the Sierra Nevada has plenty of snow cannons to always guarantee a minimum of skiable kilometers of slopes.

The best skiing and snowboarding conditions can be found in the morning hours until about 13pm when the snow is still a bit harder from freezing at night. Later in the mid day and afternoon the sun starts to melt down the top layer on the slopes, which is perfect for snowboarders and beginner skiers.
